Given that I am, haha, much better at the try-and-smash-till-it-works method of coding, I'm wondering if any of you fabulous people can give me a quick-n-dirty tutorial on how to make layouts for LJ? I've poked around a bit, and only really succeeded in confusing myself. T_____T Maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places and the directions are simple -- in which case, a push in the right direction would be awesome.

I made this half-pony half-monkey monster to please you
But I get the feeling that you don't like it
What's with all the screaming?
You like monkies, you like ponies
Maybe you don't like monsters so much
Maybe I used too many monkeys
Isn't it enough to know I ruined a pony
Making a gift for you?
Heeeeeeeeey, hello out there~ [echo, echo]

I don't suppose ANYONE out there has the lyrics (kanji/kana preferred, but romanization is fine, too!) for Minamoto Raikou's song, "Toki no Ito"? From the second tactics OST?

For that matter, any other songs by Matsukaze Masaya would be good. I am oddly in love with this song, and I would like to take a stab at translating. XD He's a better singer than I thought he'd be! And the song is terribly catchy, augh♥ And because I like sharing the love, here, have a copy of it! ♥

It's just oddly catchy, dude. XD Compared to Haruka's song (which can't seem to decide whether or not it wants to be, like, swing-jazzy oldies) and Kantarou's song (such a lovesong, what), I think it's the coolest of the three guys. At some point, I will make myself stop listening to Raikou's and check out everyone else's. XD

... I need an icon of someone looking cool. Damn. XD Possibly a villain, given how much I like this song. XD

Random songlove, hoi!

(In summary: Bob Keppel is really awesome to listen to lecturing, the fact that Cary Elwis plays Ted Bundy in the movie version of The Riverman will forever affect my future viewings of The Princess Bride and while the dog is usually much more interested smushing his face into his mommy's computer, the moment another dog takes notice of Sister, it's all BARK BARK BARK NOOOOO SISTER LOVES ME BEST T______T until I pet him again.)

Does anyone who knows more than me know the name of those red, bell-like flowers that are so commonly used in manga/anime? I tend to see them a lot around characters who are associated with spirits or the supernatural in some way; they showed up in the background a LOT around Anna from Shaman King, and I think Kikyou from Inuyasha tends to be associated with 'em a lot, and I'm seeing 'em here in the tactics ending.

They're very pretty flowers! But what the hell are they?

I would've googled the answer, only, I don't know if they're supposed to symbolize the supernatural or death or anything inbetween.]

Help is appreciated! :O

Eh, I dunno how many of you people can help me, but for those who CAN, I would terribly terribly appreciate it♥

Okay, so -- about a month ago, my poor CD/MP3 player kicked the bucket. It died, and therefore I've been musicless since, whenever I leave home, and that's a really weird sensation for me. XD; So, I thought maybe I'd try to get a CD player, cut down on the enormous amount of CDs that I'd have to carry to keep remixing -- or even the CD-RWs I have on hand to erase/reburn. XD;

Problem is, I despise iTunes and its format, and iPods just don't appeal to me whatsoever. I'm just not a fan of the iPod, or the way it's set up, so I've been shopping around for different kinds. Unfortunately, because of the nature of STUFF, and the constantly changing nature of hardware today, it's difficult to figure out what works and what doesn't. XD

<A HREF=">This, basically, is what I have my eye on</A>. But the reviews are varied, and there are enough meh reviews that have made me leery. XD; Does anyone know anything about these products? Or any other mp3 player, <I>not iPod</I>, that's at least a GB in size that, you know, is reliably good? And not hugely expensive, seeing as my budget is limited? XD;; If anyone can help, it would be muchly appreciated!

Assuming the single is out (and I'm not sure, 'cos I keep forgetting the name of the group and can't look it up XD;;;) -- if anyone has the full-length opening theme to BECK, I'd be quite happy if you'd send it my way♥ Been watching it in the club, and damn if that song isn't catchy enough to get stuck in my head constantly. XD

So, uh. Um.

If anyone, anyone, has an mp3 of 'Akai Tsuki' (the song the prinnies sing during Episode 8), and can send me a copy, I'll love and worship and adore you forever and ever and ever. Or, at least, I'll think of you very fondly and do stupid kitty tricks, which in my case would include fic or layouting or what-have-you. XD;

It's really really pretty. ToT I actually listened to all of the dialogue, instead of just reading it, because I liked the song so much. XD;

Fifteen days till I go back to Seattle! I suspect I'll be a lot more grumpy about it the first week of school-proper, when I'm trying to get used to my schedule, but right now, I feel like I'm going through some strange kind of withdrawal. XD

... till then, though, I should take advantage of my free time and do more constructive things than playing Disgaea all day. My god, where the hell has my brain goooooone?!
See, when I write, I always have my huge master playlist going on random--and yesterday, it popped up with this one track from the Fullmetal Alchemist OST that completely and utterly pinged with me--I stopped and thought, I have heard this song before.

Or, rather, not THAT song exactly, but one that sounds EXTRAORDINARILY like it. There's seriously maybe only a handful of differences in the overall melody, and it's driving me nuts, because I can SEE the credits in my head, and they're kind of dark and gothic-y (or maybe that's just my brain, extrapolating from the feel of the song itself), and yeah. >______> I was trying to explain it to friends last night, since pretty much EVERYONE I know has seen more movies than I have--but I couldn't sing the melody, and therefore identification still eluded me.

So if anyone out there can take a listen (it's track 18, "Hisou") and see if THEY can identify what movie opening it sounds like, I'd be very grateful. I could, I dunno, roll over and do stupid cat tricks, write you something, whatever. XD;

It's kind of like having a song stuck in your head, but you only know maybe three words of the chorus. HELP. T_T
