... And now for today's edition of You Had To Have Been There (But I Don't Actually Know Either):
Coworker JS (male): "[blahblahblah long anecdote about when he was living in New York] ... And that's when my cat got me pregnant."

I SEE THAT ADORABLE BUNNY FLEEING THE SCENE.
Upon reflection, I vote horrible horrible hybrid. Mutant cat-human babies that require raw bloody flesh to survive.
... we should write horror movie pitches. :Db

Ahaha, agreed! There hasn't been a really good body-horror film since The Fly; carnivorous cat-humans are as good a plot as any. They'd probably have seriously disturbing meows, too. :D Might end up permanently scarring legions of innocent catboy/catgirl fans, tho.

Well, I had this concept for a cat-monster that I would throw into a survival horror game, should I ever have the opportunity to design one! You could probably mix a human scream and a cat yowl into something truly hideous. :D ... also I actually have no guilt in my soul for scarring catboy/catgirl fans. I really don't. Does this make me a terrible person. :'(

Does this make me a terrible person.
Haha, probably not--fans ought to be able to acknowledge the weird/dark/creepy parts of their favorite trope even if they personally prefer to think about the happy and guilt-free parts, and the catperson thing is really no exception.

I gotta be honest, though: most people don't seem to like the gameplay. The battle system IS a bit slow and clunky, and things get kinda repetitive after a while. It's also rather short -- I think I finished it in about 10 hours on my first playthrough. But the setting/atmosphere is gorgeously creepy, and the story is pretty neat for the most part. I'd say it's worth playing at least once if you're a Heian-era Japan/folklore nut and can overlook the potential gameplay issues. And you'd be getting it for free, anyway. :D

Also it has tiny twin children singing an uber-creepy little song, which I personally always consider a plus.
...I'm still a little weirded out that the localization turned Abe no Seimei into a girl, but whatever! :|
no subject
Yeah, I'd wondered about that. I think there's another game or something that made Seimei a woman, but I can't remember it off the top of my head -- peculiarity~?

No, my last conversation with him was him bragging about all the programming languages he knows and "I SHOULD BRING IN A SHOUGI BOARD, I WILL TEACH YOU :D" at me.

Thank you, brain.

Maybe I was sleeping with a face of agony, or something.
...How did he get pregnant.

... Well, I'm going to guess they didn't use protection for one. Other than that, I can't say.

C-Can't blame you. I would be morbidly curious too. >:

The thing is, somehow, some telemarketer got hold of this coworker's work line, and so he gets phonespams. And sometimes he just deliberately messes with them, and it's always sort of EPIC. I don't actually know if that was the case this time.

It would be hilarious if it was.

My workplace is occasionally QUITE hilarious. Sometimes inadverntantly so. T^Tb
