Sometimes, I think I want to do a music lyric post, but then I think, what would I post? Probably Great Big Sea. Probably "Concerning Charlie Horse," because how can you not like a song about a bunch of drunk guys trying to retrieve the body of their buddy (a noble horse) who fell into the pond when it was frozen over? ("Charlie was like a brother to Shane / And he loved him well of course / Charlie was a very good man you see / Although he'd been a horse.")

DEAR WORLD: PLZ COME OUT WITH TACTICS VOLUME 8. I would like very much to know if Haruka has told Kantarou about his "old master" yet, and what sort of things he would tell. Somehow, I think that the whole "she badtouched me lolz" is really going to turn up, but maybe we-the-reader can find out MORE about it. You know. For, uh. Research-type purposes. Of fic. Stuff.

Also, it is v. hard to write a story about Organization XIII when you never played the game where a good chunk of them showed up. >_>

[/attention span of NOTHING]

I also keep thinking it's Friday for some reason, but it's not, it's NOT. >_> Which isn't a bad thing, because I actually really like working here

(point of hope: I asked my manager if I, as a contractor, needed to come in on Monday's holiday, and he said no, it would be December 26th. Which kind of sucks because it's the day after Christmas ... but.

My contract is up on December 16th. So uh. MAYBE KNOCK ON WOOD CROSS FINGERS AND AVOID BLACK CATS AND LADDERS LIKE THE PLAGUE)

but I just keep feeling like it's Friday. Maybe it's because we're getting hit with the end-of-week rush (as our customers realize "oshit, we need our ads up for the weekend!") and I've actually been constantly busy all morning. Maybe it's because it's the end of the month, and my coworkers are being oddly gleeful about it. (Today, I have witnessed three comic strips in my mailbox, a link to some really cool sand sculptures and one of the guys on my team very diligently cutting out a picture of a car and putting it over his workphone, so that when it rings and the red buttons flash, it looks like the car's taillights are on.

This inspired another coworker to print a devil face and do the same thing.

It was also declared that we could totally be the Scooby gang, and that I was apparently Velma. I suspect this is because I'm the girl with glasses.)

Thought: If you, as Roxas, get a gameover in the prologue of KH2, the screen goes to static and blurs out, like when you're searching for the seven mysteries. When it clears, you're at the last save point like nothing's happened, though you're short money if you bought things like potions or whatnot.

Which does sort of explain how he didn't go SPLAT at a certain point, but. Uh. That is about 400x creepier in retrospect. What they need is a "dog ending" like in Silent Hill 2. Roxas could cry "It was you?!" and fall to his knees as a shiba inu licks his face. I think I'd prefer a shiba inu over the actual truth.

... actually that happens to me a lot, thinking back on something and realizing ohay, that's messed up. Ask me sometime about how I felt when I thought back to the big climactic fight at the end of the Serenity movie and realized that, um. They'd left something behind and ew. 8D

Today I also had the quasi-weird experience of writing not-really-porn on the bus and then looking up and realizing the lady next to me is half-reading over my shoulder. She'd look away, then glance down at my notebook and maybe she was staring blankly, but her eyes were sure doing the whole left-to-right-going-down thing that happens when you're reading stuff. Uh. I ended up closing my notebook until after she'd gotten off and I had the seat to myself. >_>

+++++

P.S. Namine is really hard to write.

"Are we hollow?" asked the witch, and put her hands on her chest -- and it should be obscene but all she is, is just curious. "Would we rattle in a fast wind?"
