Two of three of the old [livejournal.com profile] yaoi_challenge fics, crossposted for archival purposes. *g*

Also, why did Cindi Lauper have to come out with a song called "All Through The Night"? It makes it really hard to find the traditional folksong anywhere. :\

GetBackers -- Ban/Ginji
1780 words
People keep saying the GetBackers are friends; Rena isn't sure.
(Prompt: Someone finally noticing that Ban and Ginji aren't "just friends")

A/N: I'm not sure how far the Tokyopop translations have come - the POV character for this fic is Sendou Rena, a girl who was introduced in a manga-only arc (Kami no Kijutsu/Divine Design), originally as one of the enemies and later (in true GB style) as a friend, working as Natsumi's fellow waitress (and kouhai) at the Honky Tonk.

So you know what's really lame?

When you realize that you THOUGHT you'd finished crossposting things to your own damn journal, and then blithely forgot! :|b Over the next three days, I will be posting as many leftover pieces from [livejournal.com profile] yaoi_challenge's Obscure Fandom round, which was ... uh. Back in April. [coughs]

ALSO UPCOMING: [livejournal.com profile] inarticulate's birthday fic (because I am INCREDIBLY LAME and it's taking a long time to figure it out D:) and the "[livejournal.com profile] white_aster is AWESOME because she has a PhD!" fic. ALSO MORE TSUBASA a-and possibly a HOLiC/Mononoke crossover. Yay.

A Bed Of Flowers (All Smell the Same)
GetBackers -- Kadsuki/Juubei
1561 words
The misadventures of Kadsuki's birthday present. Now with gratuitous Emishi! ♥

(Prompt: Kadsuki/Juubei (it's all up to the author, I want to see what
they can come up with specially with dorks in lurve ^_^ ) may have
smut or not)

A Bed Of Flowers (All Smell the Same) )
Ah, the long arduous process of remembering anything.
... meh. >_>

GetBackers -- Ban/Ginji

From the prompt -- "Ginji begs a violin from Madoka, and attempts to convince Ban to play it for him."

Princess Tutu -- the Raven/the Prince [series spoilers]
Written for [livejournal.com profile] ravenbell in the [livejournal.com profile] yaoi_challenge Obscure Fandom round (three of seven)
3347 words
There is all sorts of of absolutely blatant speculation here -- we don't see much of the original story Drosselmeyer wrote, so I sort of took with it and ran. I hope it still works!
Once upon a time, there was a shadow both to the prince's right and to the prince's left.

A/N: In Japanese fairytales, the convention starts with "mukashi mukashi" (essentially, "a long long time ago" -- the "once upon a time" of English convention), and ends with "medetashi, medetashi" which could be likened to "happily ever after."

But, this is set pre-series, and thus it's not quite so happily-ever-after yet; so the last line's been modified somewhat in recognition.

Someone please hit me really hard before I try to cross Shounen Onmyouji with tactics. And if I try to start justifying it to you, hit me harder. D:

The Shape in Dreams
Written for [livejournal.com profile] ranalore in the [livejournal.com profile] yaoi_challenge Obscure Fandom round; second of seven to be posted
3966 words
Kantarou has a long complicated dream. Haruka bullies a mermaid for a cure.
A/N: This could possibly also be construed as RaiKan in nature (if not in practice). ... secretly, I have a weakness for that pairing too. Minor allusions to the anime's ending.

The Shape in Dreams )
First of my [livejournal.com profile] yaoi_challenge requests! Someday I'll get around to posting all of them. :D

tactics - HaruKan

Written for [livejournal.com profile] kanzenhanzai in the [livejournal.com profile] yaoi_challenge Obscure Fandom round
Haruka understands humans; he doesn't understand Kantarou.

Second [livejournal.com profile] yaoi_challenge pinch hit!
I meant to post this earlier, but I spent today a) grocery shopping and b) playing FFXII. It did get better! I'm still not loving it, but I no longer feel like this is mindless bash-the-monsters fun, but that there is a STORY to it. Yay.

But tactics, you're still my first love♥

The Crane Takes Flight
tactics (Haruka/Kantarou)
for "Lucy Schwarz" ([livejournal.com profile] ele5) as "hyakumonogatari"
Spoilers for the end of the series. Vague tengusmut (i.e., not so worksafe) and bastardization of the crane-wife legend. 8D
6316 wirds
In which everyone should really know better, but if it's inevitable, you might as well embrace it.

The Crane Takes Flight )
From the [livejournal.com profile] yaoi_challenge Valentine pinch hits! Yei! [thumbsup]

Where All Things End
written for [livejournal.com profile] lucathia_rykatu (Ryuu no Musuko) as "hyakumonogatari"
Princess Tutu, Fakir/Mytho (Knight/Prince)
2290 words
Spoilers for the entire series (mostly, though, what we know of the story-world). Some background Fakir/Ahiru.
A fractured fairy tale for the Knight
