... I think our cat is getting smarter.
Lately I've started letting him into my room, but usually only when I'm there too, just to make sure he doesn't get under the bed and I forget he's there and close the door on him. (I do not want to have a cat chewing all the wires I have in here, haha.) But sometimes I just leave my door cracked shut -- so you can push it open, rather than having to turn the knob.
So the series of events goes:
1. I put cat downstairs.
2. I close my door mostly.
3. I get a drink of water, and when I come back, the door is still mostly closed.
4. The door opens and the cat is sitting neatly in the center of my room, by my chair, and looks up at me expectantly. "Prrt?" he says, and then I shoo him downstairs again.
He's learning to close doors behind him. The next thing we know, he'll learn how to open doors, and then we're just all doomed.
