HI.

I keep meaning to be not-dead, but ... that's obviously not happening so much. XD; But things aren't quite as crazy, so hopefully (especially now that they've hired a new guy! we're no longer understaffed in about a month! frabjous!) I can return to some semi-state of alive.

At the very least, I've been writing.

But for now, have some music! There've been several people throughout my flist who've posted wishlist requests for music, so here's my contribution? I have no idea how many people actually have these, but on the case that someone doesn't, why not? :3

These are FULL ALBUMS.

Kitade Nana: 18 ~eighteen~
For you Fullmetal Alchemist fans out there, Kitade Nana is the lady who sings the first ending, Kesenai Tsumi, which is on this album too. But I'm a big fan of her voice; it's very different from most of the Japanese female pop stars I know, with this weird sort of ... scratchy? quality that probably should grate, but doesn't for me. Also includes the one song of hers (that I know of) that she sings in English, which is sort of entertaining in and of itself. My favorites are probably "Hold Heart" and "Kanashimi no Kizu." (That, and "Kesenai Tsumi," but I wouldn't have bought the album otherwise. XD)

Malinky: 3 Ravens
So I got this from housemate [livejournal.com profile] rivendellrose, who first heard of them from NPR. But I am a sucker for folk songs -- if it's a song written over a century before, ninety-nine times out of a hundred, I will like it. Hence I am perhaps biased with this album, but hell, I listened to it for most of today at work, it did something right for me. XD I particularly recommend "Thaney" (my favorite, the story of Thaney/Thenew, mother of the patron saint of Glasgow), or the titular "Three Ravens" (but maybe that's because I just like the Corvidae family).

Caveat(?): Both the male and female singer for this band have heavy, heavy Highland Scottish accents. And if that's not your thing, it's probably best to give this one a skip. ... and for other people, I'm sure this is a Huge Plus, so have at.

Please let me know if you're grabbing these! They're biggish, but I sort of think they're worth it. :D
