I have illness in my throat. [hack, wheeze, choke]

I have, like, three or four major things due weighing down on my head for the end of the week.

But overall, I feel pretty good. Didn't buy the Tactics artbook, but got to oggle over [livejournal.com profile] harukami's shoulder, since she did. :D I've always thought Kinoshita-sensei was a talented artist, but I find I like her style better for Tactics better than I did for MaLoki. For the one thing, the layout of the panels is a LOT easier to follow in Tactics. @_@ There are parts of MaLoki where, even knowing technically what should be happening, I got confused trying to follow the flow of the page.

I would like to start some kind of interesting fandom discussion, but the illness in my throat seems to have temporarily affected my brain, too.

Though for the record, transcripts of conversation are freaking hard to read. There's a difference, I think, in what sounds natural and what's real, because people stutter and mumble and backtrack on themselves when they talk a lot more than they do in dialogue. Most people I know tend to repeat themselves and their stories when they talk, even in a single conversation, whereas in dialogue, you've got an editor (or at least yourself) to go through and take out what seems like unnecessary text.

This observation brought to you by the fact that I still have over one hundred pages of The Riverman to read, and I have the worst time trying to slog through the density that is Ted Bundy's speech.

... that sounded weird. But I promise, one hundred percent true. :O
