It's been One Of Those Days, haha. Started even before I woke up, because housemates were clomping around Really Loudly; whoever left today at 9:30 or thereabouts? When you close the door like that, it makes my windows rattle. 8D Of course, if I were a good girl and actually got to sleep at a decent time and woken up when I'd intended, that wouldn't have been a problem, but ...
I had to go to my office hours today, because I was So Very Confused on some of the practice problems and the test is tomorrow haha joy. Only. I ended up going to the wrong room, apologizing profusely to the prof for interrupting her in the middle of writing the test, and went to find the right room with the TAs running everything. Got my questions answered, which was good! ... then proceeded to get hella lost inside the building (Hitchcock/Health Sciences, how I love thee) so that when I finally emerged out into the bright and brilliant sunlight ... !
... I was on the totally opposite side of the building from where I needed to be. Haha.
So it's hot and I think okay! I'll buy myself a coke to keep myself awake at work today, yay! Went to the HUB, got the drink, got all the way through line. "That'll be one dollar fifty-three cents."
Which would be smashing, if I'd actually remembered my wallet! 8D Since I keep my ID and bus pass in my pocket, I totally hadn't noticed I didn't have it. _o_ So I console myself with the thought that I remembered to bring my lunch today and I'll just heat it-- oh.
Forgot that too! 8D It was sitting on the kitchen table when I got home! 8D
ON THE PLUS SIDE, I got a crapton of stuff done at work today; managed to photograph and edit my way through three boxes of STUFF (oh, the process of stuffing and yanking shirts off mannequins! it never gets old! especially when you realize that for some reason, one of the mannequins has a zipper on its back and you go huh? and open it and then feel really silly for that). I'm still hearing creepy noises down in the basement/dungeon/Silent Hill. And the bottom door keeps opening and closing -- always the opposite of how I left it.
... and THEN somehow the door to the upstairs offices got locked, so Coworker #2 had to go jump on the dumpster in the alley by our building and shimmy through the window. While, you know, Coworker #3 gave me the office keys and I tried each one till I found out which one would let me open the door. Have noooo idea how it got locked, but hey! At least I was able to get back upstairs again, which is a bonus!
Finally, walking home from work, I met a men who asked me if I wanted to buy the ferret he was holding. ... it was kind of cute. I mean, it was kind of long an elogated rat in appearence, and I think rats are cute. 4 reelz.
But now I am HOME and as soon as the housemate clears the kitchen, I am going to make myself DINNER. HOORAY.
THINGS ARE LOOKING UP!
