Today, I actually went and sat in the jury pool for the first time! Technically we get out at four -- but as you can see, I was extraordinarily lucky enough to get out early. :D :D :D [knocks on wood for extra good luck]
It's sort of been a comedy of errors today -- EVERYTHING related to the bus has gone wrong. XD; I thought I missed the one I needed to catch to get there on time (I hadn't), I missed my stop while traveling through the tunnel (got distracted!), and then couldn't find the stop for the 26 back home, so ended up having to do some roundabout manuvering to get to one -- and THEN, halfway through our neighborhood, there was this big ol' moving truck that pretty much blocked the road. I'm just glad it happened at 50th, rather than, like, further down, 'cos that way, I could just hop off the bus and walk home.
I spent most of today entertained by talking to this nice older gentleman who looked vaguely like Christopher Walkin (I kept glancing back at him when we weren't talking, because he doesn't look HUGELY like the man, but enough so that I kept doing a double-take). Plus, there's an Alan Walker that got selected for one of the first jury pools, and heh, did I go "?!?!" a lot. XD I think I kind of scared the girl I was sitting next to, because of it!
--also, randomly, my Organic Chemistry professor was there. Or it might not have been, but I don't know how many smallish balding Indian men with the last name Daruwala wander around Seattle. It looked like him at least, but he got called before I could go over and confirm.
But hey! I bought fruit (plums, yei♥), I tried truffles for the first time (they're ... interesting; they leave this sort of taste sensation in my nose that kind of is like the aftertaste of peppers, but isn't, at the same time), and I got out early.
Now if only my shoulder would stop screaming at me in bitter agony, today would be beyond glorious. 8D
