So, merry holiday of your choice, these fine December days. |D (And I honestly do mean fine; the weather around here is, at highest, 70 and at lowest, like, 65. It's gorgeous.) My holidays so far have been less than merry or productive, as much as I'd like -- I came home Friday on Monday came down ill. After a few days of me being droopy around the house and generally of ill health, we went to the doctor and hey presto! For the first time in my life, I had the flu!

(It figures. The one year my parents get flu shots, the one year my mom really actually pushes me to do it is the one year and the one time I catch the flu. HURRAH.)

On the other hand, I've been getting better; I've reached the disgusting stage of recovery, of which I shan't terribly elaborate. And as my dad pointed out, I was actually very lucky; usually when I get sick at this time of year, it's before or during finals -- so I'm desperately attempting to study while trying to keep my head from exploding. This year, when I got genuinely and painfully sick (oh god for a while it felt like I was swallowing knives, my throat hurt so badly), I was actually home with my parents to fuss over me. Now every time I cough, my mom goes D: D: D: at me, rather than the cat going "... bitch, please."

(Actually, more likely he would've flattened his ears at me and stalked off in a huff, because I'm obviously so insensitive to make such hacking coarse noises when he's trying to nap. Really, now.)

No, really, things are keen, and hopefully my health will continue to improve from hereon.

Merry holidays and schtuff. Will attempt to reattach floaty stuffed-up head to shoulders at some point soon and get actual fic written, haha. |D
