... Well, except for a brief summary of last night: which was hilarious as I expected it to be, and the small children running around dressed up as Dementors were pretty damn adorable. So was the little girl who dressed up as Fawkes, I'm glad she won the costume contest. :D

Also, it seems like a LOT of Harry Potter fans like Doctor Who? I managed to find the first and second seasons of the new series there (♥!) and had no less than four people go "that series is AWESOME have you seen the third season yet?!" as I was gloating. :D But yes! I now own all of s1 and s2 of the new series, and will be indoctrinating anyone who stays still long enough for me to catch them. >D

In other fandom news, I have started reading the Harry Dresden books, as loaned to me by [livejournal.com profile] zinjadu. Haven't had time to read very far, but it's been fun -- crunchy mystery fiction, now with added magic! It isn't quite my genre of choice, but it's close enough that from the right angle, it matches entirely.

I've also picked up a new manga, 葬送曲ナイトメア (English subtitle and near-literal translation, "Nightmare of the FUNERAL MARCH.") which is ... sort of like a cross between Matantei Loki and xxxHOLiC, actually. The premesis seems to be that a cute little kid (who looks astonishingly like Loki -- is a baku (a Japanese youkai that eats nightmares) runs a shop that can only sometimes be found and stumbled into; he eats the nghtmares of his customers, but at the price of making them physically live through those nightmares. He's got a handful of cute animals who run around the shop, sometimes in human form, and call him "Owner" -- a tiger, a cow, a rhinocerous, and an elephant, all animals that supposedly made up parts of the mythical baku) and a dream-eating firefly that sometimes comes and harasses him. (Said firefly appears as an adult when he takes a humanoid shape, and it sort of makes me think of the Odd Couple that Freyr and Heimdall were in MaLoki.)

It's only the first volume, so there's not a whole lot going on, but -- dude, guys, this is sort of totally up my alley for now? And a baku, that's not something you see in a lot of youkai stories, and I like that. :D

Have also seen the first three episodes of Heroes! Am kind of ambivalent, except that Hiro is terribly disgustingly adorable, and I want to punch wossname -- Nathan? -- in the FACE. With fire. ... I've been told he at least gets funnier later.

Working on [livejournal.com profile] springkink stuff like crazy! I luckily have tomorrow's ready to go, but Monday's are sort of ... one half-finished, the other not at all started, but that's okay! What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Unless it just drives you nuts, at which point you just put your head down and laugh. I haven't even cracked a look at [livejournal.com profile] het_challenge yet, except for the cursory "oh yeah HAHAHA noooo" feeling one gets as deadlines pour in. It's actually kind of hilarious for me, but these days, a lot of things are.

Still totally digging Supernatural, too. Against all my own expectations, Dean is sort of my favorite character ever, and one would be very hard-pressed to ever convince me that there was ever a bigger badass woobie than him. 4srs, dudes, it's really cute.

And as it has been muggy-wet all day, I'mma go drown myself in the bathtub and read more Harry Dresden. :Db
