Of course, it WOULD be the day of a windstorm (where some of my friends are worrying about power loss) that I sit and think, "gee, self, wouldn't tonight be a good time to start catching up on, I dunno, updating your website? or even your FFnet account, for completion's sake? You're one of those people who reads beastiaries in games just for the fun of it! Wouldn't you like a complete list of your very own?"
And I would say yes, yes self! I do! But I am so lazy and there is a lot of fic that needs to be coded. Plus, with the beauty of DreamWeaver (which I use at work every day), I know how fast and easy it could all be! I could just c/p from LJ and strip out the code I don't want like that, while still keeping my I's and B's intact. (I am totally not ashamed to use a WYSIWYG editor for huge ginormous intimidating chunks of text. And since that's all I'd primarily use it for, I'd feel weird shelling out the ~$300 to get my own copy of DreamWeaver. I don't suppose there's a barebones freeware editor I could find somewhere? :\)
I'm debating on updating my FFnet account, though; to be honest, I don't even know if I remember my password. XD I'm pretty sure the email I registered under is now totally kaput, since that was before I got gmail. For all I know, my claims that I make up something like 25% of the tactics section by myself may no longer hold true. (In which case, maybe I should go check it out, but ... um. Well. Am I that desperate? MAYBE.) On the other hand, it'd be somewhere I would know for certain most of my fics were -- and I really don't know how their adult policy is working these days; I know the NC-17 ficss theoretically got kicked, but that's not stopped non-worksafe stuff from appearing. And really, even my not-worksafe is hardly the sort of thing that would make lots of waves in the "omg hawttt" department. However at the same time, I have this tendency to be a stickler for rules that pops up at the weirdest moments. Like now. Holy crap, guys, what's wrong with me.
Plus -- to be rather nonsequtorial -- since I've signed up for NaNo next month, it wouldn't be like I was adding to my update-workload, only I really AM because I plan on working on a Catfish-related story. WOULD ANYONE ACTUALLY BE INTERESTED IN ME POSTING IT TO LJ because otherwise, dudes, things are gonna slow down to a crawl over here.
(Well, I say that, but knowing me, it'll kick my productivity for anything by the NaNo into super-high gear. XD)
P.S. Dear whimsical fairies of the world: I would very much like to either read or write a fic that ends with Melvin giving Oswald the Belderiver for the first time, with the imagery/mood of "Carry On My Wayward Son" sustained in the writing. If I can't have the first, please give me more inspiration for the latter. Thnx! ♥
(I really like October, guys. My birthday month aside, iffy weather aside, I just really like it. :))
