I am struck with this sudden peculiar desire to write Amaterasu/Ushiwaka porn (WITH HER THEORETICAL HUMAN-SHAPED FORM AT LEAST), but it feels vaguely ... weird. I mean. Writing stories with fairytale tropes or creatures from folklore is one thing; writing something with actual divinity feels ... disrespectful? Somehow?
I DON'T KNOW. :\
In other news: I finished rewatching Loveless (to get roommate-thingit and
coramegan through it!), wrote fic for it, and am about halfway through Heat Guy J.
This series is awesome, guys. Why is it so awesome? (Maybe it's because I feel like they're having fun with it, in what I've seen; it feels less like WE ARE MAKING A SERIOUS SERIES MEANT TO BE SERIOUS AND ALSO AWESOME and more like a "guys, let's have fun with ROBOTS and MORE ROBOTS and GRITTY FUTURE STEREOTYPES." Srsly.) Is this one of those "I came into the fandom too late" kinds of tiny, or yet another one of those "you always like the ones that everyone withbetter more discerning no other tastes never got too interested in" sort of tiny? I'm confused. :(
Also why, in the like ten fics out there (osnap, another tiny fandom?!), is there nothing that focuses on J. He looks like Javert no, seriously, he looks like Phillip Quast as Javert, especially from the Les Miserables 10th Anniversary Concert and damn if that doesn't sort of make J even awesomer, because now I sometimes expect that he'll sing or something! He's a robot who can punch other robots in the head and make them explode! He picks Daisuke up and tosses him around like a ragdoll, which is inevitably hilarious for me.
... also x 2: Is pairingfic with Boma considered furry? I mean, he has a wolf head, but everything else is "regular" human. Does liking him (and Okami's version of Amaterasu) make me a furry? Should I feel ashamed? (I don't, for the record, I'm just curious.)
More NaNo to come after Thanksgiving break! I'm hitting that stage where it's starting to become "just another project" -- still #1, but I want to spread out, do other things again!None of which are on my to-do list, but hey, I guess that's the beauty of THE INTERNET?
