(no subject)

There are days I think I forget how much my dad's mellowed, compared to when I was in school, and now that I am graduated and ostensibly an independant adult.

And then he steals the phone from Mom and proceeds to lecture me for fifteen minutes on the IMPORTANCE OF HAVING FUN!! BECAUSE THAT IS WHY YOU ARE WORKING! and tells me, very seriously, that he will kick my ass if I'm not letting myself relax and have fun.

"It's important, because why else are you putting in so much effort? Why else are you even working? If you have the money to spend, spend it. Do things you enjoy. Be happy. That's the whole point."

In spite of all the times we fought when I was younger, and how much I really don't think we get each other sometimes, I. I really love my dad. ♥
