Saw the new Pirates of the Carribbean movie today.

Dear world: JOHNNY DEPP IS REALLY HOT (still). Also, Keira Knightly should crossdress more, as she makes a fantastically attractive "young man."

Plus, all the nods towards the adult audience made me giggle. These are the sorts of lines that go over the heads of the wee kiddies in the audience, but when you're an adult -- or hell, teenager or older -- just make you go "...OKAY WHAT."

In this fandom, the tentacle porn writes ITSELF.

The movie was FUN, really -- there was a darker edge to it that could have easily been overdone or overemphasized, but I felt it was well-balanced with wacky action hijinks and improbably stunts and Jack being a fruitcake.

I just saw that too! :: giggling:: I adored it. It put plot bunnies in my brain. XD

The only problem was I went with my mom and my neighbor and one of my neighbor's friends, and the friend and the neighbor TALKED ALL THE WAY THROUGH IT. Mom and I were not pleased.

I'm not so much doing the bunny thing, but the whole part where they were talking about a man removing his heart and suchlike? YEAH SO MY HEAD WENT THERE and I was thinking that damn, it's too bad we never got Davey Jones as a boss in KH2. XD

Eeesh, I hope there weren't wee kiddies in the audience, that movie's rated PG-13 and rightfully so! (Basically I mean, if I was any younger than, say, 10 when I saw that movie, I'd pee my pants.) I pretty much saw the film as essentially geared towards young adults and adults who are young at heart. :D

And yeah, Keira Knightley = HOTT

I don't know how many there were, but I know I did hear one little kid start crying ... right around the whipping scene, actually. Oops. Oh, Will, you're such a Victorian heroine.

I honestly didn't find her very attractive before, but once she got scuffled up and was running around doing stuff, duuuuuuude. :O
