Once upon a time, I had a point to make about how it's really kind of jarring to be all "yay! fic!" and two paragraphs in go "D: D: D:" because in that space of time you find one of your favorite characters (and, more cringingly, a girl-character when the fic is purportedly slash) getting bashed in that more-subtle skewing-the-character sort of way. And then I would've gone on to say WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN and maybe cry a little, even though I think this is an argument that will never go away as long as fandom -- no, as long as people -- exist.
And then maybe I'd cry a little over the fact that apparently I'm writing explicit femmeslash for the first time and it's ... a genderswitched couple. WHAT. WHAT WHAT WHAT. Dear self, there's something possibly not-okay with how your brain works. :(
But instead, I just want to say that apparently Bruce Lee was an alumni of my school.
