1. Jayne has something like eight sisters, named things like Bobbie, Billi, Fred, Charlie, etc. He's not the youngest, but he's maybe only one or two from the end.
2. For all his growling and suspicion and grumbling about River, there is a part of him that is sort of ... [handwave] Drawn to her. He's not sure himself if it's an attraction thing or a little-sister thing.
