My flist is made of brilliant and wonderful people. I have been watching the requests come in for the genderswitch fic meme (please feel free to keep adding! seriously! :D) and I have been just kind of gleeing at how hilarious and awesome all of this is. And I'm working on 'em; got two finished, even! HELLO WEEKEND AND THE HOPEFUL RETURN OF MY CREATIVITY~ /o/ My big plans include REMAKING ICONS and WORKING ON FIC. We'll see if any of that actually happens. Especially with the whole "I'm running away back to Texas for a week thing going on.

My dad watching it and then changing the channel to a horror movie where the woman is very obviously being vored by some great nasty evil and me being tiny and impressionable. :|b For years, I thought the Fiddler was a demon who stood on the roof and shot people and then ate their bodies. ;;;;;;

Oh my god, it's really embarrassing to admit now, but at lest everyone seems to think it's hilarious. XD I think it's hilarious now, but at the time, man. XD I was GENUINELY TERRIFIED.

Hey - I had a vampire phobia for years and years (actual phobia with avoidance of cartoon vampires and nightmares and putting a cross on my wall), and I've never found them even vaguely romantic or appealing, so I'm the LAST person who's going to laugh at the things that haunt us when we're kids! Seriously. Cartoon vampires could almost make me cry. XD

Still - fiddler demon? That's just special! ♥

Awwwww! XD I actually used to be a stupid vampire fangirl -- back in middle school, I even read Anne Rice and enjoyed her. :|b Now I can only take vampires when they're really stupid and/or just funny; I think the Dresden Files vampires are the closest exception I have to that rule. XD

Fiddler-demons are scary, though. Part of me wants to take the concept and slip it into an original story somewhere. XD

Your fiddler on the roof story reminds me of my own childhood horror tale. My parents were watching "attack of the killer tomatoes" on TV, and I had walked downstairs to get a glass of water or something. I caught a glimpse of the movie and became afraid of tomatoes! This lasted until my dad noticed I was avoiding the kitchen, asked me what was wrong, and then cut up a tomato to show me that they did not, in fact, have any sort of killing power XD

And I didn't realize you were Korean! Cool. :) *is German/Argentinean*

[laughs] I -- can almost identify with the tomato-hate too, actually; for the looongest time (read: till about last year) I hated raw tomatoes; looking at them actually made me feel a bit queasy, with all their seedy guts spilling out. :(

But then somehow last year, I had a taste epiphany and -- I can't eat most tomatoes still, but the actually-ripe ones from the farmer's market are delicious. :|b

And yeah, I'm Korean -- second-gen, I guess it is, since both my parents were born in Korea and moved to America while they were college-age. :D Not that anyone ever believes me; I have a last name that is more typically Chinese, and even when they DON'T know that, I've literally had people argue with me for a good twenty minutes about how I could not be Korean because of my looks. I DON'T EVEN KNOW. XD
