Oh, don't get me wrong, I stuck around for Greed and co. too. I mean I still hold that the Greed vs Ed fight is one of the most gorgeous animated fights in a TV-produced anime. But pretty much after that I lost interest every fast and kept up with summaries.
The beginning was *awesome* and very well played. It's when they just abandoned the manga storyline did it stop being awesome.
