Haha, we should say I'm just incompetent when it comes to labs, and leave it at that. XD; On the other hand, yesterday was the day I took a gigantic tumble in front of the class and am now supporting a perfectly lovely giant red-purple bruise on my knee. XD;
Also had carcinogenic material poured on my bare skin, but I've washed half a dozen times at this point; if I die, I die. XD;
On the other hand, dude, I have some totally awesome friends♥♥♥♥ Not only did I actually get STUFF for my birthday this year, I got things like OMG THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS SPECIAL EDITION DVD HAHAHA BOOYA. I've already gone through maybe a quarter of the special features, and I am so bringing this to the Halloween party. YOU CANNOT STOP ME. >DDDD
For the past two days in a row, we've had some rather craptastic weather, especially in the way of cold and wet, but it cleared up quite nicely by the time I finally got out of lab. (With, like, ten minutes out of the three hours to spare, omgwtf. _o_) I'm also fantastically broke in terms of cash-on-hand right now, but it's all for a good cause. If we well and truly get houseage, then it's worth it♥♥ I'm sincerely excited about the house deal -- no more moving for at least a friggin YEAR. This pleases me. :3
That, and as I keep saying, I'd like the freedom to hang up all my posters without worrying about weirding out or offending the nice girls who live in my cluster. ^^; They're all really kind people, they're just also really conservative and if they're kind of "... ?" at the one Morpheous poster I'm hanging, I'm not gonna push it by hanging, say, the GetBackers stuff. Aha.
The whole concept of a house really pleases, me, though -- I've always liked the idea of living with people, though with separate rooms for private space/time, and I like the idea of being able to wander into the kitchen or something and find someone there that I like and get along well with. That worked well and good when I was at home with my parents, but I don't really want to go through the hassle of moving in/moving out this year, only to repeat it the next -- and since I don't really know where I want to go, after I leave college ... hell, I have this gigantic soft spot for Settle. The concept of staying isn't a bad one at all.
Which is not to say that I won't miss Austin, and especially the home I grew up in, but ... hell. Going into my first "independant" house, even if it's just renting and my parents are helping pay that rent, is a step in some sort of direction, isn't it?
... though damn, I seriously need to find a way to get into work-study financial aid. XD; The lack of lab jobs is killer. >_>
Now to go read for tonight, and then scrounge up foodstuff. One Odwalla bar =/= lunch and breakfast. XD;
