Thank you to everyone who sent their condolences earlier. I'm feeling a lot better, though it's probably because I've been keeping busy; my Giant Evil Final OF DOOM is tomorrow at 8:30, and I am alternating between the panic of oh my god I may as well stop now I'm going to fail and the burning I'm going to do well on this test IF IT KILLS ME.
Really, the worst part of it all now is being gone all day, and coming home, and there's no gallumping gangly-legged beast who comes skittering out of nowhere to go OMGOMGHIIIII I MISSED YOU. Is it stupid to hope he's not pining? We sent him back with his bed and his toys and everything else we'd bought him, so he'll have those, but ...
Er, yeah, stopping with the self-defeating thoughts.
Interestingly, since Sunday, kitty has suddenly turned much more affectionate and attention whore-y of my time. It's really hard to study in our kitchen, because there's this giant cream-and-white fuzzball that keeps wandering in with his fishing-lure toy, which leads to him dropping it by my chair and meowing loudly for my attention. If I ignore him for too long, he actually stretches up and pats my knee or my back with his paws to get my attention.
Life goes on, and I'm getting by. By 10:30 tomorrow, I will be free for a week, yay.
