Yay, living!
It's kind of sad, though; I've been at my job for one week (less!) and I've already had to tell my boss I need time off next week because of jury duty. (AUGH.) Really, it wouldn't be so bad if I were just working, because they were understanding -- it's just that I also have class, and I don't want to miss it. I hate making up work like that, especially when I'm the one doing the paying. XD; No, really, I would be really interested in serving on jury duty if I didn't have class. It's that part that makes me antsy and really desperately hope I can get out of it, woo. XD;

city_glitter thing was a total scam, apparently. Eh. I'm ... kind of not really surprised (or even upset), because it was money I had floating around anyway, but. Wow. Talk about the insensitivity and stupidity (and, on my part, gullibility!) of some people. >__> However, because I'm a believer in karma, I figure something is going to totally bite her in the ass for it, sooner or later. Hopefully sooner, because she's pissed off a lot of people and this sort of thing tends to make folks more distrustful and less inclined to help someone genuinely in need, but ...
When we live in a world that's connected by computers and screens, and everything relies on a balance of trust, crying wolf is the most dangerous thing. However, I do believe it'll bite her in the ass later; let's just hope it happens to her, and not her cat. >_>
Me, I'm still guillable and in the end, I still think the right thing to do is help a person in a situation like that. I don't believe in becoming cynical or jaded or unhappy, because really, man, we've got enough of that in the world. So in the end, it's annoying, but -- at least she did eventually come clean, and the money's being returned.
I apologize to the people inadvertantly led there by me. I deleted the original post, but I'm leaving this one up. Everyone's allowed their stupid moments, so here's my confession of one of mine. XD;
... in other news, having an hour-long commute by bus would be totally awesome for getting writing done, if I could just master the art of doing so in a moving vehicle. Because I can certainly try, but then I can't read a damn thing when I try to type it up later. XD; Someday, somehow, I'll post fic again! XO
