rivendellrose: OH MY GOD THAT IS SO TOTALLY AWESOME. Live giant squid! On video! Duuuuuude.
And thus do classes begin again. Mine seem decent, if definitely shading towards the more intensive side -- I just realized last night that my prof for Chem 312 is the same one I had for Chem 162 my freshman year, who was one of the toughest and one of the most difficult-to-pay-attention-to teachers I've ever had. XD; Hooooo boy, s'gonna be INTERESTIN'. We have to write a paper on a single element of the periodic table with 3+ resources, and I'm just desperately hoping I can pull enough bullshit padding to make my limit. XD;
However, Biochem looks to be cool; I just hope my books arrive soon. XD; As it stands, I'll probably just go to class even when I don't have early classes, so I can read the textbook in the library and be caught up. I'm going to try really hard this year to stay on top of things, rather than just coasting, like I have a bad habit of doing. XO Japanese is ... Japanese; the TA is cute and bubbly and there's a few people I know, so I won't be casting desperately around come midterms and skit-time. XD;
And at lunch, it was discovered that SOMEONE has transformed the anime club's room into ... the Tea Discovery Project? (The club's name is the Anime Discovery Project -- ADP for short.) It was all pink and frilly, and there were stuffed animals and random boxes of tea. ... which I confisticated. Because, uh. The vanilla nut tea sounded really good, okay? Also, the orange chamomile, which I took primarily more because I love the smells. The taste I am not yet sure about, but the smell, man.

ship_manifesto to do Haruka/Kantarou, eheh♥ Now I'm just worried about doing my OTP any sort of justice, because, um. When I do fandom essays, I tend to ramble to All High Hell, amen. There's a word limit (5000), but I'm unnecessarily verbose, I think, when I'm waxing poetical about something I'm fond of.
Also, there's the unfortunate note that I have to do a small "fandom primer" and ... really? There isn't much tactics stuff out there period, let alone things I would want to direct new fans to. Three, maybe four on FF.net, and then ... uh. Either I'm looking in all the wrong places (and if I am, someone plz to inform me where to look), or Haru and I between us have written, like, 75% of the fic available. o_o I'll rec her stuff without a problem, but my own (which, unfortunately, includes the cowrites), I feel Horribly Awkward about mentioning. o_O
However, I have over a month to gather stuff! HELLO FRIENDSLIST IF ANY OF YOU KNOW AND/OR LIKE TACTICS AND CAN EITHER POINT ME TO GOODFIC OR WRITE IT, I WOULD BE TERRIBLY MUCH OBLIGED.
P.S. I am aware some of you are very fond ofchirachira. Don't get me wrong, I definitely fall into that category as well. However, as the next time I see her, I am going to throttle her, folks should make their peace with her now, or forever hold it♥
(P.P.S. WTF these slippers shouldn't be so comfortable. o_o They're freaking novelty, but they're really comfy and warm, wtf.)
