On the subject of song calls that may be both inappropriate but still feel right--
1. "I'm Still Here" (Treasure Planet) for Roxas. Especially at the end of Twilight Town, as he starts realizing just how little of what he believes in is real, but stubbornly clinging to it regardless. And what do you think you'd understand / I'm a boy no I'm a man / You can't take me and throw me away ...
2. "Sound of Silence" (Simon and Garfunkel) -- the madness of Xehanort/Xemnas. Because you know, it's a very quiet subtle madness; he's the oldest of the Nobodies, he's possibly the closest to the darkness; he's preaching his gospel for what he feels is right, even if it means destroying what's "comfortable" for what he thinks is "right." "Fools," said I, "you do not know / silence like a cancer grows / Hear my words that I might teach you / Take my arms that I might reach you ..."
3. "Eric's Song" (Vienna Teng) is some strange conglomeration, Kairi/Namine to Sora. More Namine, though, accepting that she's helping a boy who made a promise to her, but won't remember her by the time he's whole, and to a girl that she's never met but is still her, who'll still be there when she fades into darkness. And of course I forgive / I've seen how you live / Like a phoenix you rise from the ashes ...
4. "Accidentally in Love" (Counting Crows) -- okay, I'm weak, this is like my KH OT3 song. 8D Mostly from Sora's point of view, because, well. COME ON COME ON~ JUMP A LITTLE HIGHER~
5. "The Garden of Everything ~ Denki Rocket ni Kimi wo Tsurete ~" (Sakamoto Maaya vs. Steve Comte) for something completely different, this is the song I forever and always associate with Princess Tutu in my head -- Tutu herself, ethereal and destined to be nothing more than a story, but overcoming that even so. Here you are, daylight star, made out of miracles / Perfection of your own, you alone, O so incredible ...
(P.S. BONUS: "So Much Love For You," by Kokia, because I am sappy and it somehow always makes me think about HaruKan♥ I mean, it's all fluffy and cute and have I MENTIONED my OTP lately?
