I don't say this enough (or maybe I say it too much?) but I really feel genuinely lucky to work with the people I do.
I mean, naturally, there's a couple of people I can't get along with at all, but I'm very good at avoiding them, but, you know -- there's
nightsinger who is evil and cute, there's
shadawyn and
rivendellrose who I went to school with and get my tangents; there's G., who's a fellow Doctor Who fan and keeps teasing me about growing her a TARDIS; there's AJ, who's always really nice and cheerful (and once gave me a ride during Seattle's "heat wave") and JD who came over to gloat at me when he got the Harvest Moon RPG (the one where you can make monsters work on your farm?) and his Jayne hat; there's Coworker C, who's the fairy I believe in!, and B, who has shouting matches with me; there's my manager C, who when we couldn't get my documents to print, drew a smiley face on a piece of paper and gave it to me. There's my big boss, whose totally willing to hang out with us and make an idiot of himself for the camera for our amusement.
And there are my friends, who fuss at and over me when I give them the sadface and keep me company when roommate thingit is out having wild adventures (haha) in California. There's my roommate, whom I'm going to make go get waffles with me when she comes home, because it's like a tradition now, late-night waffles. They're the people who make sure I don't actually get hit by cars when I'm distracted from traffic (or, at least, scream at me before I walk out into it?) and share fandoms and other geekery with me; I have a very small family by blood, but a large one by choice. (God, I'm also SUPER SAPPY. It's the good feelings from Friday going well.)
In half an hour I'm going to try and find the train station! If you're going to be at AnimeEvolution tomorrow, I should be somewhere in a swishy black skirt (I love this thing U_U) and with silver jinglies in my hair. (Apparently this makes me distinct? Coworkers have told me they can identify me from the back of my head. ... uh.)
HERE'S TO THE END OF THE WEEK. \o/
P.S. I love John Simm and his FACE OF SILLY PUTTY. But I was also good and limited myself to only three. Four. Five, if the icon idea(s) that
rivendellrose is plotting pan out.
Also I am totally going to TRY and have actual content by the time I get back. 4reelz.
