It is COLD and WET in SEATTLE.
(I know, shocking, right?)
On the plus side, now I am warm and inside, if not necessarily dry (my hair = water sponge D:), but I can rectify that soon enough. There is a shower and a fresh-from-the-dryer towel♥ with my name somewhere on it♥♥♥♥
Also I have eggs and fresh chocolate truffles and five POUNDS (pounds!) of honeycrisp apples. I love the farmer's market. :D I have been procrastinating a little bit on my NaNo, but that's because I was catching
sigelphoenix on Doctor Who. (I have enough for another post right now, but really I want to give myself more padding -- more padding! -- before I post. Also, am trying to decide whether this certain scene that I really want to put in should be scene A, or scene C, with scene B being this big pivotal revelation-type sequence.)
I have the Children in Need special downloaded, but will save that for when roommate is awake.
HOWEVER I also have Heatguy-J DVDs (I broke down and ordered them becase 1) MATSUKAZE MASAYA have I mentioned my huge crush on his voice and 2) GENEON NOOOOO DON'T STOP DISTRIBUTING YOU WERE MY FAVORITE COMPANY T_T) which I can watch totally on my own. I watched the first episode last night, and dude -- I don't care if it's old, anything that cheerfully over the top is going to be AWESOME. :3
Also Kinokuniya finally had Wild Adapter v2 in stock, so now I can actually read it, and. Hm. OH YEAH
chibimazoku and
inarticulate, I bought that Kuro Shitsuji series (v1 and v2) solely because of the two of you. I looked for Amatsuki, but it didn't seem to be in stock. Buu. :| But you know, I'm okay with that for now.
... well, and apparently I like scary vaguely-Victorian Era butlers (thus I am distracted)? See also Riff Rafael.
Also, I may do a music-pimping post later; not because I particularly think that my music will be interesting or cool to the majority of my flist (with all the cool kids and their cool eccelctic music ToT), BUT because I have this gigantic girlcrush love for these songs recently, and if only one person downloads and listens and agrees that they are Awesome, I will be happy. T___Tb
EDIT OH AND THE TOKYO REVELATIONS TSUBASA OVA. I never watched the anime beyond a few episodes and never really liked it even half as much as the manga, BUT! I am hoping for more gloroiously over the top unapologetic fun. (Well, fun for me, because the major thing that made me wince in the Tokyo Arc was actually Sakura and Syaoran, but a lot of fans would have you believe IT'S ALL ABOUT THE KUROFAY. I just want overly-dramatic pretty animation and fun voices, I think I'll be fine. :Db) /EDIT
And that's the news of the week!
MELTING POT TONIGHT~ \o/
P.S. Speaking of music -- if anyone has a copy of Great Big Sea's "General Taylor," can you share? I lost mine somewhere in the shuffle-dance of filemoving, and I don't know where my copy of the CD it was on went. :(
