Gosh.
So, for
springkink's last round, I told myself I absolutely WOULD NOT look at the prompts being put up, because I was going to focus on NaNo, I was going to focus on Yuletide, and that'd be it. Easy as pie. And you know what, I DID it -- I was tempted several times, but I managed to just never look up the list.
Of course, we see where all my supposed "I WILL focus!" attitude has gone, since I've sort of thrown myself all around the past few weeks, but you know, I'm on-schedule for NaNo (if not ahead, and I still have today and tomorrow to make it!), and Yuletide I've got a pretty good idea of what I want to do; it's just a matter of. Well. Sitting down and writing it, and seeing if I end up subconsciously pitching myself any fast ones, which does happen from time to time, aiee.
But today, prompt submission began for NEXT time, and so I let myself look at the list of leftover stuff and-- damnit. Damnit. There are already at least five I want to take just from that list alone, and the posting round is going to be February, so I lose something like two days? Also, only two of them are in a fandom I've written before comfortably, ohohoho why.
Oh man, and the THINGS I COULD SUBMIT. Think anyone would take me up on Odin Sphere? Barring that, does anyone want to help me bribe
moonsheen into writing her notadammarung AU? :( Barring that, I, uh, tend to use
springkink to just fling out my tiny fandoms with abandon, so I need to make a list. A long one.
ALSO: There is now way I could pull off an advent calender of any sort, but. I was sort of thinking of maybe doing the twelve days of Christmas, though. Less of the song itself and more of the countdown days; maybe a shortfic per day? It's something to kick around in my head, at least-- god, I feel really good about. Well, everything, creatively; even when I have writer's block or get distracted watching my friends play Rock Band or anything, it just feels kind of really super-nice to be playing. :)
SAPPINESS OVER. So's lunch. :'(
