Ahhhhhhhhhh, today. /o\
After the stuff that happened in my last post, my cable remote's battery is trying to give up the ghost and I managed to set off the fire alarm by roasting garlic and trying to do it without using a pan, so oil got on the bottom of the oven and--of course--GOT SMOKY. Ahhhhhhhhhh and I got a faceful of smoke which made my eyes hurt horribly. On the plus side, Merlin took the fire alarm a lot better than I was afraid he would--given how he spazzes and runs when the oven or the washer/dryer goes off, or growls when someone buzzes or knocks at my door, he took the alarm with remarkable aplomb: he sat up on "his" chair and stared very intently in the vague direction of the alarm. Success?!
