Twenty minutes left and I still don't know if I want to go home or not before the concert. Buuuuu.
+++++
You know there is summer and there is winter, and they are very different.
Winter is a tiny thing: her bones are brittle and her skin is waxy; her belly scoops inward and her ribs jut. But she smiles and her eyes are bright warm red that reflect fires and people and she dances until blood comes through her thin shoes. She laughs, and her breath leaves frost-patterns that hang in the air. People draw closer when she passes, and she lingers with a sharp white smile.
Summer is not tiny: she is solid and nut-brown, she keeps her sun-gold hair cropped close to her elegant skull. There is strength to her -- she is earth-solid and unbending, but her eyes are cool green and do not forgive. She neither smiles nor frowns, but keeps her mouth in a straight unhumored line. Life unfurls in her footsteps, but she walks on without noticing. She moves without looking back.
They are still sisters, summer and winter; in the transition time they walk hand-in-hand until everything has changed again.
