SO ANYONE WHO HAS TALKED TO ME FOR MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES THESE PAST FEW WEEKS KNOWS THAT I HAVE BEEN HELLA STRESSED. It's not anything too huge, really, but it's a lot of little things that are sort of stacking on top of each other, including:
- IN THREE MONTHS I AM MOVING. D-do I have enough money to live on my own in Seattle, possibly with a feline friend? I THINK SO, but it was a headache and a half (and still kind of is) trying to figure out where I want to live and the budgeting. Since I will not be splitting bills any more, I am doing a complex juggling act to try and figure out my theoretical paychecks and see if I will have enough. I HAVE FOUND SOMEWHERE I LIKE, I am just hoping there will still be openings in my price range when the time comes. :x I promise![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
miss_arel I would not move until she graduates, and honestly as antsy as I am getting, I do not want to just up and abandon her this close to the end date. And it will be strange because it will be the first time in my life that I will be living without another person in the same living space. I am kind of looking forward to it? But I'm also kind of "sob sob I don't want to live aloneeeeeeeeeeeeee"--hence I am FINALLY GOING TO GET A CAT, I THINK. :p
- Related to budgeting, I screwed a few things up with transfers and had a mini-panic attack of O SHIT TRANSACTION FEES AND CASH ADVANCES AND #*%(#(@()&%#)%#@&$)@!#$#!!!!!!!! B-but I emailed my bank and they were able to cancel the botched transfers and I have no extra fees! \o/;;;;;;;
- My external hard drive is dead. :\ The shop hasn't called like they said they would, but it's been two weeks. I do not have any hope for it. ON THE PLUS SIDE, Mom was able to find a new one for under $200 that she picked up for me as a ... I'm not sure if it's a consolation gift or something, but. I'm grateful, sob.
- COUNSELOR APPS AT CFUD. It is my first app in months and it's not an easy character. I have been rushing to canon review, get activity up, and write the damn app. I am not completely done with the review, but the app is done in its first draft and I have activity approval! \o/ AND ALSO IT IS NOT THIS WEEKEND, which I had actually thought until ... yesterday afternoon, actually! :B So part of the stress was thinking I had a week less than I did, BUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE AND THAT IS AWESOME. \o/

imaginarybeasts. S-sob, someday I will start things BEFORE I see the "one week left!" reminder, but at least I got it done and sent in on time. ;;b On the other hand, I think it could be better and expanded, so ... I THINK I WILL. SOB. Someday!
- I am trying to shift to that 8-4:30 shift I was talking about previously. This means I am getting up about half an hour earlier to catch the bus, which my body still hasn't quite adjusted to. (And then the bus was late this morning by nearly twenty minutes and I was like ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH.) The worst was when I woke up this morning, and it was still dark (like it is!) and I wondered if it was worth lazing in bed till my alarm went off, or if I should just go ahead and get up. So I grabbed my glasses and looked at the clock (my alarm clock is on my desk, on the opposite side of my room from my bed).
And it was 1:48 in the morning. I had not been asleep for TWO HOURS. SOB.
- I got an extra bill from the doctor, which I'd not been expecting. :\ It wasn't much--under $20!--but it was the office in Austin, and yeah. I don't own stamps, and the notice said it needed to be paid "within 10 days of recieving this notice," and it had taken over a week to arrive at my apartment. HOWEVER, I called my mother last night and she's going to pay it for me, and I'll just write a check to her for the difference. ;w;
- RUBYQUEST GAME THIS WEEKEND ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I am excited and also nervous and ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
- I did not know there was a fourth song to the "Aku no" Vocaloid series! I have been listening to it a lot since I discovered it--yesterday. Er. I kind of want to translate it, but my skills are not really what we'd call good enough. :x

My biggest roadblock I keep running into is that I'm super neurotically worried about scale. I got vlad to give me image dimensions and such, but I keep thinking "but what size is the room these characters are being placed in?". If I draw an image of someone at 300x500 but the room is ALSO 300x500...
I overthink. It is what I do. I'M SURE IT WILL WORK OUT I'll just make the drawings simple enough that if the size needs to be futzed with they'll still be clear. |D auuuugh why am I so neurotiiiiic ALSO: do you guys have illustrations for the rooms themselves yet? Or someone to do those illustrations?

I thinkkkk, if you're doing illustrations, as long as it's enough to showcase everything requested, we should be fine! I mean, the original RubyQuest wasn't exactly UP TO SCALE most of the time, and it was only one guy who was doing stuff as fast as he could.
I am not sure if we are doing room illustrations, though LAST I HEARD, pie might be handling those? You would have to check with Castor; I am just here to beat people till they work. :Db

Actually, yeah--the one thing I liked is that, well, it's pretty much crappy MS Paint doodles, but they work really well and pretty much by the end one gets pretty involved in trying to find details in the art. XD

WE HAVE A TIMELINE. THINGIT. WITH CONTINGENCY PLANS. Nishi and I are writing up notes for the NPCs we'll be running, mosttttt of the traps and boss battles are figured out, so. Barring any really unexpected curve balls (and that's assuming it's something that Morrolan and Castor and Nishi and I combined can't work with) we should be good. \o/
