Haha, yeah--we have desktops at work and it is reeeeeally nice, how things don't sputter and choke and die if I have a zillion things open in Photoshop and I'm playing my music and paging through scans and have Firefox and IE open. <--multi-tasker The nice thing is that you can get a more-powerful laptop for less than you could get a nice laptop, so I've basically got a piggy-bank account set up to save up. But sobbb I want a netbook. *_*
Yeah, it was like I was telling Zidane, the real problem is that some of the stuff I'd want to write is the purely self-indulgent stuff that's vaguely embarrassing to post on my usual journal, BUT a lot of the ones I'd write for include, like ... really tiny nonexistent communities, or else they're really disorganized/untouched/etc. It's less that I want crit, because I can post fic to my regualr journal for that, and more that I want to see if "someone who writes primarily porn" really gets more comments/pagehits/etc than "someone who writes primarily gen," of which I am the latter.
