Today is Hawaiian Shirt Day at work (to celebrate our section's sixth birthday).

I have had a free very banana-tastic smoothie and seen my boss wander by in the most hideously hilarious tacky visor (complete with plastic tropical drink and gaudy cloth flowers), sunglasses, a grass skirt, and a coconut bra. He did a brief dance for us when he stopped to say hello.

They're basically having a week-long celebration, but today's has been the funniest. XD

On his birthday, they gave our boss a crown and robe a fairy-princess scepter, which was also pretty damn hilarious. XD

Awesome co-workers are key. All of the people I work with are people I know, since I work in a lab where I go to school. XD It's good that you're happy. :: snugs:: Happiness is key as well. Very, very key.

I...am impressed. My old boss liked to play with my hair. And he bought me lunch, occasionally. And was sometimes free with his money.

But, um. That doesn't paint a very good picture, does it? XD He was actually pretty cool (and grandfatherly), but, apparently, not as cool as yours.

(though i still think my mom's old boss was cooler. when i was wee little, we had rubber band fights in the office, and he gave me a mini basketball goal, ♥)

My current boss is a really fun guy -- it's nice to see someone who doesn't mind goofing off with his employees. XD (And yeah, my mom's old boss was also really cool; when he found out she had me -- and I was maybe five or six at the time -- he gave her a FREAKTON of computer games for me. I never met him personally, but I always thought he was something like the Wicked Coolness. XD)
