Sometimes, especially these days, I sort of feel like the proverbial bitty thing that sits in a sinking boat and tries to bail out with a spoon full of holes.
Everyone at work has assured me that this is a traditionally busy time of year, and it'll taper off once the buying season picks up again, but man. >_> With work + NaNo, I think the most brainpower I can muster up is when I try to decide which sprite to hit another sprite with, when playing Disgaea.
ON THE OTHER HAND, I'M STILL ALIVE.
... I think the big problem right now is, part of me wants to write regular old fic, but I got a little behind on my NaNo, cough, and I was doing so well at the beginning of the month that I am determined to keep it up! ... which feeds back into that "no brainpower" thing.
And Maguro Wasabi (Higashiyama Kazuko, one of the cowriters for tactics) has released her second BL manga volume. And I desperately want it, only, can I justify buying cheesy BL manga about VAMPIRES.
VAMPIRES.
How far I've fallen. ToT
The other thing is, when I DO have the time and the energy, my mind is a horrible blank. It's the sense of knowing there are things you need or want to work on, and maybe even getting as far as the document open, and then two hours later you've gotten maybe -- if you're very lucky -- a hundred odd words.
