No, really, Friday can't come fast enough

This week started out so well. Mom's birthday! Deciding I'm going to go to Vancouver for the weekend! Food!

And then Tuesday came, with RL life crises which sort of ended with me crying hysterically and sort of terrified for how the rest of my life would shape up (I, uh, tend to think in very dramatic terms). Not fun, I can tell you. Also a work-related something that's not huge in the long run, but was sort of depressing for us on my team.

Then today! It started with a bus fight. Cops were called. I was almost late to work, but at least I didn't nearly get squashed, like rivendellrose. Also, no corpses, which might work in fiction, but when I'm on my daily commute? So glad it didn't happen. Top it all off, nightmarish traffic ensured I was five minutes late to a meeting about aforementioned RL crisis, and yet again hysterical crying, and another hour and a half of blankly staring into space before I dragged my sorry carcass home and proceeded to type out a furiously-paced email with lots of numbers and percentages. My batting average is currently fantastic.

At this rate, while I was debating taking my laptop with me to AE, I'm terrified that it'll, like, burst into flames the moment I try to open it. :\

Pretty much the only upside has been marathoning Avatar with zinjadu and pestering sigel_phoenix and ratzeo to watch more Doctor Who.

I hope to ye holy gods and little fishes that the rest of this week (the rest of this MONTH, the rest of this YEAR, the rest of my entire life, kthx) goes smoother. [gurgles]

:) Thank you, seriously. I'm currently being sort of pessimesstic about the Vancouver thing, but! Maybe actually sleeping and a bit of distance and perspective will help out. :)

Thanks; we're trying to get stuff handled asap, but part of it is the other guy being a dickweed, so we have to move at his pace as well as everything else. :\

[hugs] Thanks, hon. :) Sleep has helped (and, ironically, randomly listening to "For Now" from Avenue Q puts things into perspective *g*), so -- I'm still pessimistic and maybe a bit morose on many levels about this, but I've thrown my gauntlet down for the worst-case scenario, so really it's just the waiting that's left. (... I hate waiting. XD)

So far ([KNOCKS ON WOOD]) things have been going all right today. Plus, Kari and I will be finishing season 1 of Avatar, so I'm almost caught up with everyone else! That's a good thing, right? :D

Right. My dad said that every college student has to live in a really crappy house at some point in their lives, if only so they can learn that that's not how they want their house to be. I seriously doubt what we'll end up owing will be as much as Nugent has estimated, but even if it is, you're prepared to deal with it, and that's good. And now we'll have a better idea what mistakes not to make next time.

That's very good! Now you can start season 2 -- and when that's done, you can join the rest of us in waiting in frustration for season 3 to finally kick off (IT WAS SUPPOSED TO START IN MARCH, F*CKIN' NICKELODEON...)

See, my dad's said that too, but he was talking more about roommates -- he was uneasy about letting me get into the house-deal because he was worried that I'd discover I couldn't live with the others and it would all end in friendships ruined and rifts tearing us apart and DRAMA! ... and then it turned out that the worst part is the landlord, and the only roommate I couldn't get along with was the only one I wasn't friends with or even knew in the first place! :Db

That's okay, what with the desperate waiting for Doctor Who season 4, I can alternate frustrations, keep myself occupied. XD omg omg you neeeeeed to see the end of season threeeeeeeee because I think you will totally share my second OTPppppppppp♥

No! Jessiebird, terrible sadness: the IHOP's gone. DDD: I haven't gone to verify for myself, but apparently the closest one now is on Aurora, and we'd have to get someone to take us. T_____T

Extreme Disapproval! D: I was threatened with beatings until morale improved. .____. And given how long it takes me to get through things, I'll probably be only on the second game by the time the third comes out, and hence no arguing for it. XD
