In short, I said a few things that I ... cannot in all good conscience take back because I do believe strongly in them, but I regret that that I was clumsy enough to make it sound really bad. I can't and won't take back the gist of what I said, but I think, in retrospect, I handled it badly and probably spoke too plainly about the whole thing. Which ... is something I should definitely try to work on.

I try to be a nice person, but I also try to be an honest one, which seems to translate to "blunt" and that seems to be what gets me into trouble. Hahahaha ... um. Damnit. .___.

If you're reading this? I am sorry for hurting your feelings. :\

I KNOOOOOW. And it's like it never even occurs to me that DURRR ANYONE COULD SEE THIS and, and, WHY. It's gotten to where it happens enough time that occasionally it occurs to me after the fact, like 5 minutes or an hour or a day will go by and suddenly I will freeze and go, "OH, YOU KNOW, THAT WAS NOT VERY DISCREET, WAS IT." I figure that at this rate, by the time I am old I will start having that moment of ENLIGHTENMENT before I actually open my big fat mouth.

I will say, though, that if I were in the position of this person - yeah, I'd be hurt, but clumsily-worded good sentiments are better than well-worded mean sentiments. You meant well, and they probably know that (or you can make that clear to them).

I hope you get to straighten things out with this person.

It was one of those ... she did something I really did not agree with, and I kind of blithely assumed she wouldn't see if I said anything about it in this public forum (which in retrospect was rather stupid of me) -- I could have handled this situation a LOT better than I did, but ultimately, I'm sorry for HOW I did this and not WHAT I did.

It sounds awfully fauxapologist of me, but I take some comfort in the fact that I meant everything I said, even if I said it badly. *wryyyyyyy*

My biggest problem is that I tend to just sort of -- speak up at random moments; this isn't even a regular "I talk a lot of shit and hot air" kind of thing, this is me saying something and assuming that I'm not being seen, even in a public place, and now I feel like I've been called on my behavior and it's embarrassing at the least, and makes me feel like a jerk for the most. XD;

Ah, well. I still believe what I've said (which is probably the only thing that keeps me from feeling totally like dirt *g*), but I regret how I expressed it, haha. x_x

Aww, I'm sorry. I agree with the idea that clumsy good sentiments are better than spot-on mean sentiments. I think you're one of the genuinely nicest people I know, and, I mean. We all fuck up sometimes, you know? Don't worry too much.

I don't know if it was necessarily good sentiments vs. mean sentiments -- it was a matter of me strongly disagreeing with something this other person was including in her fic, and ... not really being all that subtle or polite about it. And I still strongly disagree with it, I ... just regret that I was a jackass about the whole thing. :\

I'm glad you still think I'm nice, though. T_T I'll keep trying, ahahaha;;;
