Also, because I had one of those strange evenings where my parents were nostalgic and I learned all sorts of things about what they felt and how they dealt with me growing up.

Not quite religion, but it tells a good story

Finally watched Constantine -- you know, months after it came out and I said hey, this is something I wanna see! theladyfeylene and I meant to go so many times, but the circumstances kep conspiring against us until it was gone from theaters and yeah. XD; But yesterday, my parents were all HAY LET'S RENT MOVIES 8D (which is so weird, because dude? We rarely rented movies when I was younger -- it was seriously something like a once-every-six-months thing). So we went, and while I was HOPING the Blockbuster would have Firefly, so I could show my parental units, that met with Great Failure.

"Eh," I said. "Then there really isn't anything I wanted to see."

And then! The preview thingy popped up the trailer for Constantine and I said OH HEY THAT'S RIGHT. So we grabbed that, and I ended up running into a friend who is now working at the Blockbuster, which was also cool♥

It went like this: I see this guy who looks really familiar! Huh, I think, he kind of looks like my friend Evan. But then, I think lots of guys look like Evan, so --

And then he looks up, blinks at me a bit, and goes !!! YOU! 8D

--Which was cool, because I finally got his new phone number and we shall hopefully hang out at some point this week! I'm busy till afternoon Monday (AIEE DENTIST), but other than that -- !

... anyway, Constantine! And blatherings, vaguely religious (?) in tone.

STANDARD DISCLAIMER: I am not religious; I think, if I am anything, I am agnostic -- but geekery of the mythological sort always fascinates me; it just so happens that a lot of that is tied into religion. So hey! I hope I do not offend. 8D Also, in case someone is less on the ball than me, SPOILERS for Constantine and fragments of the original Hellblazer comic -- which is to say I read 'em over a year ago and don't remember much. 8D
