Today, saw friends and FINALLY got to see the Easter Egg from the Firefly DVDs of Adam Baldwin singing "The Ballad of Jayne." He's not the greatest of singers, no, but it's the emotion that's behind the singing, and the gestures -- and that hat. You gotta love that stupid HAT. XD

"The heeeeeero of Camptoooooon, the man they calllllll ... meeeeeeeeeee!"

Of course, watching that led to rewatching "Jaynestown" and "Shindig." [livejournal.com profile] zieram has a few interesting theories about the Hands of Blue and the Alliance, which I hadn't heard ANYONE mention before, so next time I see him, I will have to pick his brain for it. Damnit, I need to get my next paycheck so I can go ahead and order the damn DVD set for myself. XD

And THEN I'll do some big dorky fandom discourse on it. Because sometimes, I do that sort of thing.

Also, in a moment of generousity, my parents have bought me cooking stuffs. Like, a cookware set and a cultery/kitchen set, so, er. Jen! If a paccakge arrives before Sunday addressed to me, plz to keep it and not be worried if it's heavy or makes funny rattling noises. XD On the other hand, it was a fantastic deal, which made me happy; YAY. I OWN STUFF TO COOK WITH. I even made dinner for my mother tonight, and she was ... awfully happy, for all that the only thing I REALLY made was the sauce for the noodles. (But I did that from scratch! That counts for something, yes? 8D)

P.S. The March of the Penguins is cute fabulousness and anyone who likes cute should see it. 4reelz. I want a plushie of a baby Emperor Penguin now. *_*

There is surprisingly excruciating pain to be had, when your finger brushes a naked lightbulb that has been one for 3+ hours.

ESPECIALLY when you realize an hour after that that the burning pain has spread lower and actually, you burned part of the webbing between your fingers, too! 8D
