(no subject)

The downside is that everything is on this computer, roughly 22GB of STUFF that I really should go through and sort, but uh, that would take a lot longer than it already has. And with the external drive and all, my computer is laaaaagging to somewhere unmentionable. XD; It's bad enough that when the battery cord fell out (it's lose and tends to be flaky) my poor laptop still took a few seconds to realize O SHIT NO BATTERY and automatically dim the screen, like it does.

The upside is that my new monitor is a thing of glorious wonderousness and I figured out how to make it work by myself, and, uh ... I think I might need a bigger desk or something. XD

I think I might miss being able to sit on my bed when I'm on my laptop, but, uh ... I still have my good old faithful (and currently somewhat battered and struggling D:) laptop to cart around. :D

In unrelated news, it's kind of weird when you take an original piece, with straight characters (or at least one of them was; he was married, damnit! though the emphasis on "was" but it ended because of dying not because of other things!), turn it into boy's love, and suddenly it writes about 100x faster than before. Were all those false starts with this story (these are characters I've had for YEARS) really because I was trying to force my OWN characters to be straight?
