... you know, you are totally right about Kairi not seeing the monsters, and I totally need to figure this out. XD I was sort of going more off the movie canon in the whole "the ringing siren noise is the church calling the 'faithful' to shelter" but perhaps a mix-and-match would be best. (Because Riku would see them the most clearly, Sora would see them, but perhaps not as threatening objects, but like generic Nobodies, and Kairi would look at them like they're mad. >3)

That's right. I managed to avoid dying as Heather, so I never saw Valtiel....but I remember dying as Roxas.
Does this mean Axel gets to drag Roxas off to god-knows-where to revive him?Well, if it helps, the 'innocent people are safe' thing isn't universal. SH2 is special that way, where as the other games are more tied into the Order and how their God is causing all the OMGWTFMOMMYITHURTS that the characters experience.
No problem. I'm secretly hoping this will inspire more All Falls Silent, because it's just....such an neat and creepy idea.

[laughs] My roommate was playing it one night and got a gameover at ... I think it was a boss scene? But she had to run to hit the bathroom, so I was waiting for her to get back and the game to reset, and then! out of the rusty darkness! Came Valtiel and his violently twitching head and I screamed. XD; I'm such a wuss, for all that I love scary stuff.
Yes. yes, that is TOTALLY what it means. Axel is like some weird cross between Valtiel and Claudia, only he doesn't want to awaken Sora, he wants to awaken the 'old' Roxas.SH2 was definitely the most psychological of the games, what with James being a messy, messy headproblems. 8D I admit, though, I did really like the idea of the innocent not being able to see the monsters of Silent Hill, and it would play all SORTS of trouble with Riku's mind once he learns that only the ones with darkness in their heart can see the beasts♥
This is definitely giving me some ideas of what to do with this. :D Part of the reason the story went on hiatus is because I really lacked an idea of WHERE to eventually go with it -- and my friends tended to be fans of either one or the other, not both, so it wasn't like I could easily go "so, hey, Roxas = Heather Y/N?" at them. XD

Yeah, no /kidding/. There would be SO MUCH to play with if you ran with the SH2 mythos, with the trio being such perfect examples of different people, effected differently by Silent Hill.
Kairi, the Princess of Heart, unable to experience the monsters and the Otherside.
Sora, who is pretty innocent and good-hearted, but has bloody hands like many of the characters in SH2. He's killed, so there's some guilt and darkness for the town to play with.
Organization Member-based monsters FTW!And then there's Riku, who's done some very bad things and walked the Darkness. His seeking to redeem himself sticks him nicely into the SH2 mythos, since he probably feels guilty for all he's done.

Organization-based monsters would rock SO HARD. Uh. Do you mind if I run with that idea, if I credit? :3It would be SO MUCH FUN to mess around with the Trio re: Silent Hill, ESPECIALLY if one goes with the theory that Roxas is sort of a separate "awake" entity. ROXAS VS. SILENT HILL OK I LOVE IT GO!(I totally intended to have a Riku-and-Pyramid Head scene from the start. That was, er, actually one of the reasons I started All Falls Silent in the first place. Because really, what more fitting character than the Executioner? ♥)
