Not anagrams, no -- politically (or scientifically) correct names of old Christmas carols. :D Like, to give one away, "Trio of Monarchs" = "We Three Kings."

Heee! Most amusing! I think this shows I have been listening to too many English Christmas Carols (as well as some popular songs of the US variety)... Are there answers up at Linguaphiles? I don't think I got absolutely all of them. Only almost. ^^

I think that one actually came from a movie (though I could be wrong?), so the song in reference is "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth."

See, I got the same answers too, 'cept for one -- I always thought "Benevolent Ancient Despot" was "Jolly Old St. Nicholas."

Jolly Old St Nicholas didn't even occur to me! It's probably because I don't like that song much, whereas I really like Good King Wenceslas (I tend to like the traditional songs and dislike the modern ones). I dunno, who do you think is right? Both could work...

I really like "O Holy Night" too. XD The hardest one for me was "Cherubim Audited From Aloft" because for a while the other meaning of "audit" did not percolate, so I was like "is there a christmas financial song? ?_?"

I think they should have included "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer." XD

I like both kinds of carols, though I think it's mostly a case of when I was younger, we sang them a lot at this time of year in school, and I like singing, so. XD; I'm inclined to say "Jolly Old St. Nicholas," though, because the title mentions "ancient," which is not so much in "Good King Wenceslas."

And yanno, you could always make your own list for the songs they didn't do. XD Like, uh, "The Family Matriarch Trampled By A [...]" I forget the scientific word for things with hooves and antlers. I think it started with a p-, though. XD;
