HAPPY BIRTHDAY
vikki!!
We are no longer in any of the same fandoms, I think, but HELL I GOTTA BIRTHDAY QUE LINED UP so if you're feeling up to it, go ahead and ask for something. :3 At the very least, I hope you feel better soon! D:
Survived yesterday (but only barely), but came home too grumpy and tired to really feel like saying much. XD; That's not to say work was bad -- my first day went really well! -- but the test, haha, it was not.
(I have nasty anxiety attacks right before tests. Or, actually, before science or math tests, because I never sweat over, say, Japanese. Or English, when I was taking English. Or any number of electives but I suppose that's neither here nor there, because Biochemistry and its predecessors have tests that somehow manage to scare the living daylights out of me. I'd blame my parents, but it's more likely that it's just me internalizing too much. |D)
But work went well!
shadawayn was there in the lobby waiting for me, when I would've otherwise been "D: where do I goooooooo?" at the poor nice receptionist lady, and I ... from the looks of it, things will be pretty easy to handle. Barring some of the details here and there, and it seems like the manager/head-type peoples are really easy to approach. I still don't know a lot of stuff, like about this so-called Information Center or wossit that
shadawyn mentioned, but I'll figure it out! Eventually! Or something!
And then I came home and went to my neighbor's house to play. No, seriously, they have this brand-new 11-week-old corgi puppy named Molly, who is the cutest thing ever. I asked Mrs. Neighbor about how much she weighed, and Mrs. Neighbor said well, I don't know, why don't you tell me? and plopped Molly in my arms.
Slobbery puppy kisses are really good for cheer-ups, lemme tell you. XD But she's a show-class puppy with this gorgeous blue merle (sp?) coat, one brown eye and one blue eye, and she's so, so CUTE. They have a (slightly) older corgi, Jack, who's absolutely ecstatic to have a friend again (their older dog died in September D:), and he's actually really, really good with her -- half the time, he let her tackle him over and by the time I left, Molly's entire head was soaking because Jack kept trying to eat it. His mouth = bigger than her head/shoulders.
Then I came home and found my doujinshi from
takadainmate arrived! ♥♥♥♥ Wow, the two connected books are extraordinarily pretty. >_> I, uh. May have to beg more from this artist, the next time they head off to whatever comiket/fest/wossname comes next, haha.
Also, my new computer has come! ... only, not. >_> I will be going to pick it up tomorrow because stupid me and stupid UPS couldn't coordinate, and I will have to think up some elaborate and extravagant thank-you present for
shadawyn and
irishninja for helping me out. :p
On the other hand, I have not studied pretty much at all for my lab quiz today, but ... I can't really figure out WHAT to study. >_> The TA is really nice, but he can't explain worth crap; it's kind of obvious, listening to him lecture, that he's the sort of person (like me!) who gets nervous talking in front of big groups, so his explanations ... tend to ramble and backtrack and not really go anywhere. And our text isn't much better, because the quizzes are always more detailed than the book suggetss. D: However, I still have something like two and a half hours, so even with lunch in the way, I should be able to pull something off.
Unless they're watching Ouran 6 in the club, at which point all bets are off.
