Please read it! It is for
EPIC FANTASY SINGING ROBOTS!!
So once upon a time, roughly a year ago, a video came out on nico douga for stupid singing robots--namely, it was a Len song that cast him as a young boy heading east, searching for a girl whose voice he could hear singing to him. Along the way, there are brief cameos from the usual crew, but for the moment, Len was on his own. It was labeled "To Be Continued."

Nine months after the first, the second video came out! Nearly twice as long as the previous video, this expanded on the story significantly more: Len has a traveling party! Powerful people in high places are after them! But Len is determined to find Rin, who is still singing for the dragon, though she may be fading fast. She sings to protect, while Len sings to destroy, and maybe they're reunited at the end, and maybe they're not--there's another "To Be Continued" waiting.

THEN
actualize AND I HAPPENED. WHOOPS!
The thing is, these videos are based on a much longer project that is primarily in novels and fic--none of which we had access to finding when we first started talking. :|a So we ended up being so utterly enamored of the world and characters as portrayed by these videos (who was raised on a reading diet of starry-eyed high fantasy? this chick!) that we just started speculating. And tossing around ideas. And things like that. AND THEN CAME THE EPIC ROBOTS COMM. It's on dreamwidth btw. It is a WRITING PROJECT, in which AJ and I are essentially just writing scenes and bits and pieces, which may theoretically someday be pieced together into a sort of chronological order--we don't have enough written for that. :|a
But in my heart of hearts I would love other people to get involved. Love of singing robots is not a necessity, just watching these videos and being interested in their story. There is a googledoc which has our (very colorful) notes, and there are a few things we have established in our AU spin on an AU canon again, man, do singing robots even really have a consistent canon? but overall ... ! We've mostly just been writing things, and I for one would love to see other people write thingsso I have more stuff to read, seriously, guys, I have listened to these songs constantly since the second one came out, ahhhhhhh epic epic ahhhhhh. It is not an RP comm, but it involves writing and there are lots of awesome people who write awesome stuff on my flist. You just need to join, I AM QUICK ON APPROVING. You'll make me happy! That's something nice, right? 8(
And it's not so much a singing robots thing as it is dues, there's a heroic quest and a dragon and a girl who sings for it.
Come play with us, guys. :(
